Fancy-Hell Yeah Concert

First concert abroad ever. I was dreaming to have a nasty crowd jumping under the stage, with yelling in every word they sing. Mohawks everywhere, alcohol-smelled people shouting oud loud, glass bottles of beer in every corner, gosshh… I thought I was gonna have those moments.

So, I took off at 4.15 from campus. The bus came right away, the train already awaited at the station, and arrived at Sakae just few minutes before 6 pm.  I thought I would loss in the big city of Sakae, wandered for the concert hall. But, it really didn’t happen. The concert hall just right across the subway exit. And the concert hall, you wouldn’t imagine, a fancy-shinning building with big glass windows, yellowish "remang-remang" lights, and marmer stone all over the walls and floors. "It is not supposed to be the concert", that was I thought before. But, when I see some "romantic-nearly wed-holding hand" couples having the DT posters in their hand, I said to myself, "I must be dreaming, oo… a dream it is".

And the concert hall, wooooowww…. surely look like a concert hall, but not for this band, my worshipped band. Maybe for the philharmonic orchestras or others with Mozarts or Bachs partiture orchestra, the place is really proper. And I start to look around for the audiences. My gooossshhh…. most of them is typical, men are in suits and women are bloused-skirt outfit. I kept wondering myself, whether they really know what they will watch on the stage that night by having those kind of looks. The worst part is when a woman actually sat next to me. She really looks like a 2 children-mother to me. And before the show started, she tried to fix her make up first. Wakakakakakak … real concert, huh…

Finally, I just make myself comfortable as the others do. I sang all the backsound music while waiting they started. Make a drummer or guitarist-like gesture when there is a drum or guitar part in the songs. And after the lights went out, the band was performed…. this where the Hell-Yeah parts started.

Best Regard for James LaBrie, Mike Portnoy, Jordan Rudess, John Petrucci, and John Myung. See you guys soon!
